Yoga for Motherhood™
Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
Coming to Italy + Eastern Europe
Summer 2021
Prenatal yoga has an important role in the prenatal and postnatal stages of women’s lives. Studies have shown that kind, ethical and healthy caring for mothers and babies at the beginning of life leads to greater creativity, peacefulness and productivity across cultures.
Yoga for Motherhood is a prenatal yoga teacher training program that Marisa Toriggino has been teaching and developing since 2010.
This is an 85-hour, 10-day Yoga Alliance-registered program that is appropriate for yoga teachers, yoga students, medical professionals and anyone working in the field of birth and early parenting.
Graduates of this training program are qualified to teach anywhere in the world where there are pregnant women interested in practicing yoga for better health, fitness and birth outcomes.
This in-person training program includes Marisa's on-line video series “Yoga For Motherhood for Pregnancy and Postpartum” and incorporates pre and perinatal psychology and early consciousness along with powerful yoga practices to help students heal and grow. The result is healthier pregnancies and better birth outcomes for mothers and babies - increasing human potential from the beginning of life.
Marisa Toriggino is a leading international teacher for prenatal yoga, with graduates successfully teaching in remote areas of Russia to urban centers in Europe, America and the Middle East. Her program is one of the few that offers Yoga Alliance registration, giving graduates an assurance of quality and a unique advantage to become a Yoga Alliance® Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT®)

"This program has been a gift to me, both as a yoga teacher and a mama. What I valued most was the breadth and diversity of teaching, the immersive nature of the 10-day program, and the amazing bonds that were formed by all.
What surprised me was the transformative experience that resulted from a deep exploration of the experience of motherhood through so many lenses: medical, physical, spiritual, relational, societal and communal. This gave me a much richer understanding of what a woman goes through when making the transition to new motherhood--whether it is her first, second or later baby."

"The Yoga for Motherhood Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training program by Marisa Toriggino is not just a certificate program, but an advanced course that is suitably challenging for Yoga Teachers of all levels. I felt appropriately challenged, well supported, and felt connected to a constant stream of knowledge the entire period. I highly recommend this course to those who are looking to serve prenatal and postnatal students."

Suzanne Arms, activist + author says this beautifully in her quote:
"If we hope to create a nonviolent world
where respect and kindness replace fear and hatred,
We must begin with how we treat each other at the beginning of life.
For that is where our deepest patterns are set.
From these roots grow fear and alienation....or love and trust."
Note : Suzanne is sometimes a guest lecturer in this training program.
